Cafeteria Management System (CMS)

The Food Services Division is in the midst of bringing technology to Café LA.   Our goal is to streamline our core functions and make it easier for students to gain meal benefits and eat at Café LA.   Over the past three years, we have implemented the first three phases shown below.

Food Service Division Technology Implementation

Currently, we are in the implementation phase of  the Cafeteria Management System (CMS).  This CMS is an end-to-end system designed to support K-12 food service operations.  We are rolling out the "Back of the House" software that assists with menu planning, food production, ordering, inventory control and other crucial management functions.  Our goal is to have all of our cafeterias on line and utilizing the software by the end of February 2010.  We are also in the planning and testing phase for our (CMS) "Front of House System" which will eliminate tickets and update student meal eligibility on a daily basis.
